The Victoria, as the name suggests, originated in the reign of Queen Victoria and is a four-wheeled vehicle, coachman driven with a single hood at the rear to shield the occupants from keep the worst of the weather.
Victorias have no doors and have continuous (or nearly so) front and rear mudguards sweeping down below the vehicle to form an entry step.
The Coachman's box seat can be built in to the structure of the vehicle or be detachable to convert the vehicle into a park phaeton.
